Project & Challenge of the Month

Project

The project of the month has to go to our job over on Buxton Avenue. This was a job in which the homeowner received a minimal amount for the repairs to their home after it had been severely damaged by fire. The homeowner had all but given up on the idea of having their home rebuilt and then came across us at a presentation of our services.

We decided to take on the project even though the house had been sitting for almost a year. Several contractors had already turned down the project because there was not enough money in it. There were many obstacles that we had to overcome such as going to bat for the homeowner, assisting them in putting together an estimate, and helping them to get the proper funding for the project from their insurance company. All of this was coupled with the fact that we had to go back and forth dealing with the city who was planning on tearing it down... and the list goes on.

Long story short... The project is now coming to a close this month and the homeowner got to keep their house. We were able to produce great results on the job while remaining within their budget.

Challenge

This award goes to the launching of our new website… FINALLY!!

It has been a long time coming and to no fault of our web designer of course. When you work in the disaster business, planning your day becomes a little difficult. We have a tendency to tackle things as they arise and things like new websites have a way of making their way to the back burner.

Through lots of hours, mostly by our web designer, and the assistance of a few key people, we are proud to say that the day is upon us. We hope everyone loves the new site as much as we do.

Enjoy!
