Peninsula Food Bank
Ruthi Lee, Account Manager for Advanced Restoration Services, led a food drive for the Peninsula Food Bank after learning that the Food Bank's Supplies were nearly depleted for the summer months. The Peninsula Women’s Network donated $250.00 in addition to monetary donations made by members increasing the total donation to well over $300.00. 200lbs of non perishable foods were collected and stored at a storage unit donated by Julie Butts of Mini Price Self Storage.
And BTW, did you know that the Food Bank is able to purchase FOUR TIMES the amount of food that you or I can with cash contributions? They buy in large bulk so rather than one can of vegetables, they can buy 4. They also use the cash to purchase milk, juice and fresh vegetables and fruits.
